I think in images before I think in words.
I'm drawn to the tension between the glamorous and the absurd — the moment when something threatening becomes mundane, or something mundane becomes threatening. My references are Shrek 2, anime, pop culture, the tabloid aesthetic. The things that aren't supposed to be taken seriously but carry a real edge underneath.
In 2021 I placed third in Portfolio and third in Latin American Photographer at the Sony World Photography Awards. Before and after that: Coca-Cola, Netflix, Cinzano, Goose Island, John Foos, Citizens of Tomorrow, Spring Studios during New York Fashion Week.
I care deeply about the people I work with and I make sure they know it. That's not a small thing on a set.
I photograph. Sometimes I direct. Sometimes both at once.
If you look at my work and don't fully understand it but something lands — that's enough. That's the whole point.
Born and raise in Buenos Aires but the project decides the city.
